Safety protocol
Safety is our highest priority and our facilities was built to provide a safe environment for our guests. Not only are you in the natural setting where the ayahuasca medicine grows naturally, but our highly experienced shamans and facilitators and our safety protocol enables you the optimal setting for a safe experience. Our staff, facilitators and healers are familiar with our protocol and is team working for your safety in case of emergency. We have implemented serious safety protocols for any emergency that might arise.
In over 10 years of operating, we have only needed to transfer guests to Iquitos twice, both times due to mild allergic reactions. Out of an abundance of caution, we chose to visit the hospital, as we believe itβs always better to be safe than sorry. When needed, we can reach Iquitos in under one hour.
In the unlikely event of an emergency, our team responds quickly and with calm care. As we are located directly on the river, we can reach a hospital in Iquitos in less than one hour.
Parts of our safety protocol includes:
-
Small groups with maximum 10 participants
-
Full first aid kit at the center
-
CPR and first-aid certified staff on site.
-
Medical doctor in Iquitos with direct number
-
24/7 transport to Iquitos from our center. Travel time with speed boat: 40 minutes
-
Medical screening of all guests
-
Fire extinguishers
-
Minimum 2 facilitators (1 male and 1 female) in every ceremony, supervising and supporting our ceremonies (not drinking ayahuasca)
